What is this project?

Prospira Terra Gas I is a next-generation renewable energy infrastructure project that transforms sustainably cultivated Napier Grass into renewable compressed biogas (CBG) and premium organic fertilizers using advanced anaerobic digestion technology. Strategically located in Gujarat, the project benefits from long-term government-supported gas procurement, multiple diversified revenue streams and strong policy incentives. By combining renewable energy production with value-added agricultural products, the project is positioned to generate stable long-term cash flows while supporting India’s energy security, decarbonisation objectives and transition towards sustainable agriculture.

02 — Project Overview

Revenue Model

Unlike conventional renewable energy projects, Prospira Terra Gas I benefits from three complementary revenue streams, combining stable contracted energy sales with value-added agricultural products to create a diversified and resilient cash flow profile.

Renewable CBG Sales

High-purity compressed biogas produced from sustainably cultivated Napier Grass and supplied under long-term government-supported procurement frameworks, providing stable and recurring infrastructure-backed cash flows.

Premium Organic Solid Fertilizer

Nutrient-rich organic manure is processed and enhanced into premium bio-fertilizer, creating significant value beyond conventional by-products while addressing the growing demand for sustainable agricultural inputs.

Liquid Organic Fertilizer

Liquid organic manure is filtered and refined into high-quality organic bio-fertilizer for agricultural applications, generating an additional recurring revenue stream while promoting healthier soils and regenerative farming practices.

Value Enhancement Strategy

While compressed biogas provides stable recurring revenues, Prospira Deal intends to significantly enhance project value through downstream fertilizer processing. Rather than selling raw digestate as a commodity, the project plans to filter, process and package both solid and liquid fertilizers into premium agricultural products, allowing participation in India’s rapidly expanding organic farming market and creating substantial additional revenue potential.

04 — Investment Thesis

India's Renewable Compressed Biogas (CBG) Market

India is rapidly positioning compressed biogas (CBG) as a strategic pillar of its clean energy transition. Through the SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) initiative, the Government of India aims to accelerate the nationwide deployment of CBG production facilities while creating a reliable domestic supply of renewable gas for transportation, industry and commercial applications. Long-term procurement frameworks with State-owned Oil Marketing Companies provide producers with predictable market access and support investment into new infrastructure.

Demand for renewable gas continues to increase as industries seek lower-carbon alternatives to conventional natural gas without requiring major modifications to existing infrastructure. At the same time, expanding gas pipeline networks and supportive government policies create a favourable environment for long-term sector growth.

Key Market Drivers

01

Government-backed long-term gas procurement framework (SATAT)

02

Rapid expansion of India’s renewable gas infrastructure

03

Growing industrial demand for low-carbon energy

04

Existing natural gas pipeline network enabling efficient distribution

05

Attractive government incentives, including capital subsidies and interest support for eligible projects

05 — Project Overview

Premium Organic Fertilizer Market

Beyond renewable energy production, Prospira Terra Gas I participates in one of India’s fastest-growing agricultural sectors. Every tonne of compressed biogas produced generates valuable nutrient-rich digestate, which is processed into premium organic solid and liquid fertilizers.

Rather than selling untreated digestate as a low-value by-product, Prospira’s strategy focuses on filtering, enhancing and positioning these products as premium organic agricultural inputs. This value-added approach is designed to significantly increase revenue potential while supporting the growing adoption of sustainable farming practices.

India’s organic fertilizer market is estimated at approximately USD 501 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 756 million by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.6%. Rising consumer demand for chemical-free food, improving soil health awareness and government support for sustainable agriculture continue to drive long-term growth.

The Government of India is also actively promoting the use of organic fertilizers produced by CBG plants through dedicated Market Development Assistance (MDA) schemes and partnerships with fertilizer marketing companies, further strengthening demand for high-quality bio-fertilizers.

Key Market Drivers

01

Organic fertilizer market growing at ~8.6% CAGR

02

Increasing demand for chemical-free and residue-free food

03

Premium pricing potential through branded fertilizer products

04

Government incentives supporting organic fertilizer adoption

05

Strong domestic demand and expanding export opportunities for organic agricultural products

Environmental Impact

We believe that the most meaningful infrastructure projects create value beyond financial returns. While delivering attractive long-term performance remains our primary objective, we are equally committed to creating a lasting positive impact on the environment and the communities we serve.

By producing renewable compressed biogas, Prospira Terra Gas I directly supports India’s transition towards cleaner energy, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, strengthens domestic energy security and promotes a more circular agricultural economy through the production of premium organic fertilizers.

The project is expected to generate carbon credits through its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Rather than treating these proceeds as an additional source of shareholder returns, Prospira voluntarily commits to allocating 100% of all carbon credit proceeds exclusively to environmental initiatives within India. These funds will be dedicated to afforestation initiatives, the promotion of organic farming practices, and projects that contribute to a cleaner and healthier India for future generations.

We believe that long-term success is measured not only by financial performance, but also by the positive legacy we leave behind. Through Prospira Terra Gas I, we seek to generate sustainable returns while contributing to a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future.
